Nov. 3rd, 2006:
Stocks closed
lower for the week leaving the DOW down 104.22 to 11,986.04, the
S&P down 13.04 to 1,364.30, and the NASDAQ down 19.83 to
2,330.79. We warned last weekend that the drop on the 27th
concerned us and that traders needed to be cautious. The market
then followed through with a half hearted bounce before
continuing its drop. I’m concerned now about the close on
Friday. All three of the major indices dipped below their 20 day
moving averages on Thursday and tried to recover on Friday but
came up short. Unfortunately this moving average could act as
resistance and force this market even lower. For now my
